Get Ahead by Getting Started
Search for the Master's or Doctoral degree that interests you. Join an informational session, meet with a graduate recruiter or contact the Graduate Program Coordinator to learn more about the program, admission process and funding.
While not required of all programs, if yours does, be sure to review this helpful information and take the exam as soon as possible.
Take advantage of financial aid, scholarships and other incentives offered to UTRGV graduate students.
Once admitted into your graduate program you will take the following steps:
You'll need this in order to activate your UTRGV email and move forward with registration.
Search for the program you were admitted to in the catalog and review the course requirements. These are the courses that make up your degree plan.
You will use your my.utrgv.edu account and click on the ASSIST application to register for classes.
While orientation is not mandatory for graduate students it is strongly encouraged to learn more about graduate student policies, financial aid and much more!
Payment for classes are due prior to starting your classes. Log into my.utrgv.edu to review your bill and make necessary payment arrangements.
